Is it wrong to re-blog yourself? I just re-read this and I was right the first time on homosexuality. Jesus loves you. He just loves you. He died for you and me. That is all.
I am continually confronted in the media by Christians opposing various laws relating to same sex marriage and homosexuality. To me, it doesn’t seem very Christ-like at all. Jesus would have been the one embracing the homosexual and sharing a meal with them, and he would have been the last to condemn. Jesus was God’s ambassador of love and he would have loved homosexual people just as he loves me.
That is not to say that neither of us are broken. We are. He loves us anyway.
As for the Christians that are fighting these things at a policy level, my response is one that Jesus said in Matthew 22:15-22 (New International Version) regarding paying taxes.
