(Featuring Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy)

On high rotation in these parts is, of course, Christmas music. But not just any old Bing Crosby or Michael Buble, it’s Pentatonix! Yay.  Now, I know you would expect me to be enjoying their latest offerings but I’m sorry, I can’t get past last year’s album. The song that’s got me caught in a high rotation trap is “Just For Now”. Is it Mitch Grassi’s high notes? Is it Imogen Heap’s lyrics? I’m not sure. I particularly love the humanity of it. On Wikipedia, Imogen Heap said that it was written for TV show The OC, but the producers felt it was too dark. Frankly, I can not imagine that happening in Australia. It’s no darker than the ABC’s A Very Moody Christmas – in fact, it’s probably lighter.

So, I could share” Just for Now” with you, but really it’s the entire album “That’s Christmas to Me” on high rotation. Check it out at Spotify, Amazon, Itunes, whereever you buy quality music. I picked up my Cd at JB Hi-Fi. Yay them for having a good range of music. Instead, I’m going to share with you here an inspiring grammy award winning piece from the album – Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

I don’t care what kind of artist you are, it must be a real trip to have your work represented on the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING!!! For an Aussie, it would be like having your work reflected on the Australian Opera House.

Watch, enjoy, and as Scott and Mitch say “Don’t listen to anything else today!”
